PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY FOR CHECK-IN and meet at the Kiosk.
A two hour walk along flat trails exploring wetlands, native plants, and tidal marsh. Be transported back in time to see the foundations of land today. Look out at the Stillaguamish estuary in Port Susan Bay for birds benefited by wetlands and estuaries.
Consider the healing of a habitat and restoration to a healthier system by nearby projects; Leque Island, Port Susan Bay Preserve and Zis-a-ba. Inspiration from those who came before us and the idea of preserving
This interpretive walk weaves observations found in the natural world with the science and spirituality behind them. Employing knowledge and experience coming from a life-long effort to spend quality time outside, the guide brings to life what is visible and what is invisible within the temperate forest habitat and the marine ecosystem. The hope is to educate, illuminate, and inspire the audience.
This is not a passive experience. Your guide, Tina Dinzl-Pederson is famous for immersing her audience with just enough information to allow for self-discoveries. Tina is a volunteer for FOCIP, Friends of Camano Island Parks.
